A rising talent in the world of film and television, Teia Leonie is UK-based stills photographer, whose natural curiosity for what was going on behind the scenes of every film she saw as a child and young adult, has now translated into a burgeoning career on set.

After studying film at A Level, Teia’s love of photography grew and on finishing school, she started shooting for a host of London modelling agencies.  Keen to combine her photography skills with her passion for film, Teia began researching films stills opportunities, took advice from seasoned professionals in the field and shot stills on her first short film in November 2022.  Since then she has been building her contacts and portfolio through a number of shorts and independent feature films.

Lord David Puttnam famously said, “More people see the stills from a movie than actually go see the movie” and this is a sentiment that has inspired Teia:   “I want my work to drive people into the cinema or to get them seated at home to take a moment to immerse themselves in a narrative and just forget everything else for a while.”
